SteeringRack.eu respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through steeringrack.eu, why we need it and how we protect it in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679).

2. What data we collect

Through the request form we receive: name, phone / WhatsApp number, email, car make, model and year, VIN (if provided), the type of part you need and your comments. Our server may additionally store technical information (IP address, User-Agent, request time) to protect the site from spam and abuse.

3. Purpose of processing

We use your data only to: match and sell the requested spare part, contact you about your enquiry, process the order and delivery, keep accounting records and answer incoming questions. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on: (a) your consent given when you submit the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); (b) the necessity to enter into and perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); (c) our legitimate interest in the security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data to third parties. Data may be processed by our technical providers: cloud hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase, EU), email delivery service, and logistics partners (only when needed to ship your order). All providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

6. Retention

Requests are stored no longer than needed to fulfil the order and to comply with legal obligations (typically up to 3 years), after which they are deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data, request rectification or erasure, restrict processing, withdraw consent, receive your data in a portable format and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. 8. Cookies

The site uses only strictly necessary cookies required for it to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies that would require separate consent.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), least-privilege database access and regular reviews.

The current version of this policy is always available at steeringrack.eu/en/privacy. Material changes are reflected in the update date at the top.
